Writing about yourself is never easy…but here it goes!

My name is Ashley, close friends and family call me Ash; my last name is in the dictionary so that automatically makes me cool (think Ignorance is Bliss.) I was born on Wednesday, February 12th 1986, that makes me legal to drink (22), in South Carolina; I’m a military brat so I was raised in various states but Kansas will always be my home. I currently reside in South Carolina where I work part time at Old Navy and have acquired an Associates of Arts Degree (December 2007) from the local community college; I’m working on a degree in Psychology in hopes of having a career in counseling. I have an out-going, giggly type personality and enjoy laughing at even the most stupidest of things, however, when under stress I crack and break down which is my biggest down fall. I tend to think I am a simple person because simple things make me happy. I am opinionated and try to stay open-minded when it comes to certain “issues,” however I stand firm in what I do believe in. I am a writer (or at least try) and second year photography student. I enjoy listening to music, graphic/website design and gaming (online and console). On June 29th, 2007, I entered into a relationship with the most amazing man I have ever met, Alan (20). He lives, works, and plays in Michigan and while the distance is hard at times we manage and always pull through. The plan is for me to attend school at Michigan State University starting in the Fall of 2008, which will bring me closer to him and us closer together as a couple. He is the most amazing, absolutely wonderful, sweet, loving and caring guy I have ever had the pleasure of being with. I adore him for everything that he is; he completely has my heart. For the first time in what seems forever, I can honestly say that I am the happiest I have ever been and I cannot wait to be with him.

Random Facts.
- I’ve lived in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georiga, Hawaii and Kansas.
- I have a passport and have been to Paris, France and Romania.
- I drive a 1995 Honda Civic…it’s an ugly purple bluish color.
- I absolutely love chicken.
- Dr. Pepper and Cherry Coke are amazing.
- I can’t sleep unless I have a fan on.
- Bubble baths are my favorite.
- I had a cat named Pudge & a cat named Patches: I miss them!
- I was published three times when I was younger: twice in poetry books, once in the newspaper.
- I was apart of the newspaper staff in 9th grade and wanted to major in journalism for a long time.
- Zelda is awesome, so is Viva Pinata.
- I can build a PC from scratch.
- My parents are divorced; I have a younger brother, Josh who is 19 and a half sister, Kaylynn who is 7.
