Dieting.

I have done really well the last month or so with cutting back on my fast food intake. For awhile, it was ridiculous at how much fast food I was eating and the money I was spending on it. I haven’t seen a reduction in my weight because I am still eating a lot more than I should but I am slowly making healthy changes. If I could figure out how to reduce belly fat without all the extra steps, you can bet your bottom I would be all over it but then so would the rest of the world! I think for the new year, I will seriously make my new years resolution – which I never make – to lose 20 pounds, which is a very big but small obtainable goal. I need to lose over 100 pounds to be where I want but it is important to make obtainable goals versus getting ahead of myself. I even plan on making a section of my new personal blog all about weight or a space to keep track of things as I go along..nothing is better than holding myself accountable and I think blogging about it will keep me motivated.

Insurance Polices.

When I moved back to Kansas, I kept my car registered in South Carolina for over two years. At the time there was no need for me to switch my registeration and insurance policy over to Kansas if I wasn’t going to stay. Of course, I’ve graduated and decided to stay after all which I knew I would all along so this summer I spent a few days getting everything in order and switched all my information over to KS. I’m glad I did because my insurance premium dropped a little which in the end only saves me money! Speaking of insurance polices, at the first of the month, I got to use my insurance card for the first time to purchase my prescription. I can’t even begin to explain how happy and excited I was to only have to pay $30/month for my prescription versus the $70+ I was paying without insurance. I am so glad I have a full time job that provides me with health insurance for a LOW cost and paid dental insurance as well as vision insurance. Now if only they offered cheaper than what I already have auto or rv insurance, then I’d be over the moon. I hope my mom is able to find a new job with insurance benefits because God knows she needs them but until then I guess she’ll be stuck paying high prices on doctors appointments and prescriptions like I was.

Giveaways at Blissful Reviews.

For those of you who may have missed the annoucenemnt: I started a product review and giveaeway site about a month ago and it has been going very well. It is called Blissful Reviews and I spend A LOT of time updating and writing reviews every week. Please stop by if you haven’t done so already. Right now, I have some great giveaways going on:

This week, I will be working on posting some reviews for some great products, one of which are colorful polka dotted socks that would make a great gift for a sock lover or to match those funky sweaters in the closet. Hopefully, at the first of the month, I will also be able to purchase my new personal domain name! I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Today was cleaning day.

Sundays are cleaning days. I try and save most of the cleaning for Sunday because I’m too lazy to do it any other day of the week. I try hard to spread everything out over the weekend but on Saturdays we always end up doing something. Like yesterday, we took Bella downtown to a dog festival which meant cleaning as left for today. Thankfully, I managed to get everything done except the bedroom…that can wait until next weekend. I mainly wanted to get the living room and kitchen picked up before this coming weekend because we are going to pick up our new pup next Sunday. I wanted to make sure there was nothing left out that he could get into when he comes home. I dusted, vacuumed and dusted some more and FINALLY, everything smells nice and fresh. I stopped by Wal-Mart and picked up some candles and potpourri to make the house smell good; I should have picked up some blinds & shades because that is the only thing missing from our apartment but the ones I originally wanted to get aren’t being sold anymore. Either way, I am happy with how the apartment is now so hopefully we can keep it that way. I hate cleaning and I really don’t want to spend all next weekend before picking up the pup cleaning!

Make that list and check it twice!

Christmas is just around the corner which means I need to start making my Christmas list and checking it twice. Since getting into product reviewing, I have picked up quite a few items that I plan on using as gifts for Zachary and Zoey – my two little cousins back home. I have yet to pick up anything or buy anything for the rest of the family which includes 2 dogs, a boyfriend, a mom and a brother. I normally let my mom pick something out for my grandparents and aunt & uncle and let her wrap it and say it is from all of us. My dad, stepmom and sister I refuse to buy for but my mom ALWAYS buys something and says its from us…I don’t know, they don’t do anything for us during the year and the constant back and forth drama is old, so I just say screw it. It’s not like they take the time to call us and wish a Merry Christmas anyways! With that being said, CHRISTMAS LIST! I have no idea what I want and really it isn’t about that but it’s nice to get things you know you’ll use. I really want a digital SLR but I doubt I’ll get that; if not, I plan on getting one come tax season. Maybe a new ipod Touch, you can record video now or maybe even one of the new ipod Nanos which would be great to take on walks with the dogs. I have an IPod Touch already but it hasn’t been updated in quite sometime and it seems really slow to me…maybe I should update it. What do you want for Christmas?

Get your groove on with PlayStation Move

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m not a huge console gamer, even though between Alan and myself we own a Wii, a XBox 360 and a PlayStation 3. I just can’t seem to get into the games any of the consoles have to offer even but I am hoping that will change if we purchase the PlayStation Move. The PlayStation Move would give me a reason to not only play the PlayStation but also to get up and move around. I have already looked into some of the games that are PlayStation Move compatible and I could totally see myself dancing and exercising to some of them. For instance, Get Fit with Mel B would get me off the couch and exercising so that I could finally meet those weight lose goals. On the other hand, a game like EyePetz would take me back to when I was 10 years old and virtual pets were popular.

The PlayStation Move redefines motion gaming with the most immersive and realistic gaming experience only possible on the PlayStation 3 system. It is ergonomically designed and easy to use with a controller that captures a full range of motion giving you ultimate control over how you play the game. With a big selection of games and new ones laughing all the time, you are bound to find something that you can enjoy with your family and friends. The PlayStation Move can be purchased at retail stores nationwide for only $99 with the MOVE Bundle package!

I can’t wait to purchase a PlayStation Move package for our PS3 and I am pretty sure with all the games that are continually coming out, I will find something that will get my attention! What’s great is that you can use the MOVE whether you’re experienced, casual or somewhere in between…will you be buying a PlayStation Move to enhance your PS3 experience?

Personal Blogging.

I have come to realize that I miss personal blogging after posting almost daily at Blissful Reviews. I miss talking about life, having a place to vent and being able to showcase the pictures I do take. I miss connecting with bloggers that have similar interests which is why I plan on opening a new personal blog and will keep it strictly to personal blogging. You won’t hear me talk about the best weight loss supplements but rather what I am going to do in order to loss weight. I’ll post my favorite recipes or post blogs about the current book I am reading. I’ll talk about work and how life is going. I’ll update with pictures of Bella and the newest addition, Kyler (or maybe Max…we haven’t decided). Either way, it’ll be all about blogging and ME, nothing paid or sponsored UNLESS I feel so strongly about that subject that I want to get the word out. Now, I just have to come up with a name…a name that I can deal with for a year and won’t hate after a month.
