I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was fairly uneventful with nothing real exciting happening. Alan and I went shopping on Sunday at Wal-Mart because I needed some summer clothes and it seems that Wal-Mart is the only place right now that I can find decent clothes for a decent price that fit. I managed to find two pairs of shorts and another pair of bermuda shorts. We also picked up some other odds and ends. One of the perks of having a new job that pays more is having left over money after paying bills. I haven’t had left over money for the last two years now so being able to go out and buy things that I want and need is awesome. Of course, I still need to be concious of how much I am spending and not go overboard with it.
On Sunday, we took Bella to the dog park after eating breakfast at IHOP and stopping by Petco to pick up a harness. She has a really bad habit of pulling while on the lease, especially when she knows she’s going somewhere that isn’t outside to go potty. No matter how much I stop dead in my tracks and turn around, treat and praise, and no matter how much I’ve tried the techniques I learned at dog training – she just won’t stop! For only weighing 15 pounds, she’s got muscle on her and her pulling is hard. She does well when we walk at the dog park but like I said when she knows she’s going somewhere that involves getting in the car, just getting to the car is a task! So we figured a harness might help that and it seemed to do fairly well. We haven’t tested it much in terms of getting her to the car without her pulling but it allowed us to have her off the leash for most of our time at the park yesterday which is great because it allowed her to roam and run freely. She did extremely well with stopping and waiting when we called her if she ran ahead too much and when other dogs would approach her, she stayed focused and kept following us when we kept walking past. I think having the harness on her helped with her feeling secure because when I use to bring her, I would keep her leash attached to her and let her run freely and she wouldn’t run off.
Aside from working, I haven’t been up to much at all. I am still getting use to not having to worry about school. My weekends are filled with time spent with Alan, sleeping when I can and being able to go out whenever I want too. Before, I always worried about what project I had to work out, what quiz was due by Monday and what test I had to study for. I still find myself thinking I have something to get done before Monday morning but in reality, I don’t! All I have to worry about now is getting up on time to make it to work by 7:45 am. Also, if you haven’t noticed I am trying my hand at writing reviews for other products (see post below!) which is much more exciting than writing about acne treatment. I hope it goes well and I continue to do the reviews and if so, I may even pick up doing reviews on other products that I use on a daily basis or get samples of in the mail. I wouldn’t mind starting a review site…and I still want to open a new blog, I just haven’t had the time to even focus on this one.

I’d come to recognize with you on this. Which is not something I usually do! I really like reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to comment!
