Apple preinstalls a program called Bootcamp on their MacBook Pro’s and with the help of this program you are able to install a copy of Windows XP on your laptop along with the Mac OS. Well, last night I decided I wanted to install Windows XP so that I could play Ragnarok Online (a game I haven’t played in years!). I opened up Bootcamp, created a partition like it told me too, and inserted the Windows XP as instructed and went on my way. The setup for Windows started and I preceded to go through the installation just like I would have on a regular Windows based desktop. Well…it won’t install and after awhile, I gave up only to realize that somehow, somewhere, my Mac OS had been deleted…erased, along with all my files. I don’t know what the hell happened but I lost everything I had which wasn’t much. Luckily, I have all my pictures on my camera memory card so the only thing I really lost was my class notes. I got the Mac OS reinstalled last night and have spent the afternoon reinstalling programs…it sucks.

On another note, I need to get some kind of personal budget software to help me get back on track with my finances. They have been up and down and all around the last couple of months and I just can’t seem to get back to where I was in terms of how much money stays in the bank. Not only that, but when I was trying to install Windows last night I realized I couldn’t find the serial number for my copy of XP so I booted up my desktop to get it off the text file saved on the desktop. Yeah…my desktop now won’t load up Windows. It goes to the black screen that gives you the option to boot in safe mode, last working configuration or normal and it just stalls and doesn’t do anything. I’ll most likely reformat it as I haven’t used it in ages (at least since I got my laptop) but now I know for sure I need a new desktop. I hope I can get one soon!
