It’s been awhile since I last blogged. Much has taken place in that time, some that I’ll speak of now, some of which I’ll speak of later.
My brother turned 21 on July 9th. We went to my dad’s Thursday night to celebrate his birthday and the night ended with both of us pretty much wasted. It is the first time I’ve ever been drunk enough to puke and the first time I can actually say I was drunk, not just tipsy. I still remember the night and what happened and what was said but after standing up a few times, everything came to me at once and it felt better to just puke it all out. The morning after was the worse considering I was dry heaving until 1:30pm. I know just the information you always wanted to hear!
My mom was here for a week visit – July 11th through today. She left at 4:30pm today. Her trip was good. We went to Worlds of Fun the Sunday after she arrived and had a blast. I always enjoy it when she comes to visit. I wish she could have stayed longer or better yet, move back out here but in due time we’ll see what happens.
My brother and I signed a lease for a two bedroom apartment last Wednesday. I originally was going to get a one bedroom apartment by myself again and had already signed the lease for it but when he asked me a month ago if I was willing to still get an apartment with him, I told him yes if he could absolutely afford it. He’s been working full time for the last month and a half or so and makes pretty good money doing so, so we should have no problem. I was able to get out of my other lease this week as it only took one day to find someone else to rent the apartment too. Both places are brand new, I’m just trading a one bedroom for a two bedroom basically with a different apartment complex. I only lost $200 which they’ll take out of the deposit for the one bedroom I was going to get. I can’t wait to move on August 1st.
I am hoping to start exercising when I move into the new apartment. They have a fitness center that is available for use as well as tanning. I decided to cancel my tanning package a few weeks ago as I didn’t have the time to do it anymore and really could put the $40 towards something more useful like a gym package but with the fitness center at the complex, I won’t need to go to the gym and pay for it. I’m thinking about picking up the Eat to Live book that Caity has been talking about and staying away from any diet pills especially those that contain ephedra. I haven’t ever taken pills and I don’t plan on starting.
I put together and finalized my new computer list. I’m hoping to order parts for it in the next few weeks but definitely after August 19th when I get my finacial aid for school. My current PC is dying and it’s time for a new system. The new one is only going to cost me $850 and I get some of the latest and greatest AMD/ATI stuff. I’m excited and can’t wait.
I really have let this website fall to the wayside but I really have been too busy and exhausted to care very much. I miss blogging but when I’m at home nine times out of ten I’m sleeping. I was working 35 hours a week and going to my math class which is 5 hours a week (2 days for 2.5 hours) plus doing homework/studying when I could. I finally told my boss that I didn’t want to work all day, 11.25 hour (7:45-3:30p and 5:15-8:45p) shifts anymore because it was too much and my nerves were getting fired. I was burnt out. Sure, I liked the money I was seeing on my paychecks but it was getting to the point where I was exhausted every day and had no time to do anything that I wanted or needed to get done. Hopefully with the new girl starting tomorrow, things will get better. Either way, I’m really considering getting a new domain…I just have to think of some names.

Your brother’s birthday sounded like a lot of fun. Puking while drunk isn’t that fun though, yucky. oooo, computer building is so much fun. I love picking all the parts out. Newegg can entertain me for hours on end. I can’t imagine working shifts that long. Ugh. I was getting tired after 8 hours myself.
