I started my summer class, Statistics (MATH 365), today. It’s a Tuesday/Thursday class that runs from 10am – 12:30pm and lasts until July 31st. Today’s class was only an hour long because she went over the basics of the syllabus and how the class will be graded. But in the last two hours I’ve managed to do the following:

• In the hour that I was in class, I managed to get a parking ticket for parking in a yellow parking zone with a parking permit. I never drive to campus during fall/spring semester because the bus stops right up the street. Taking the bus saves me $200 for the year but because I only have one class for the summer it’s easier to drive 10 minutes to campus because the buses aren’t on their regular schedule.
• I bought my textbook which cost me $124. When I got home I decided to look the book up on Chegg.com to see how much it would cost to rent the book for the semester; $25 which includes shipping + tax. I did a “fuck my life”, ordered the textbook online and plan to return and get a refund of $98 (-$25 for the rental book I got) for the book I bought at the bookstore on campus. Not only did I save myself money, but I also planted a tree!
• After getting my textbook, I stopped by the parking department so that I could 1) buy a parking permit for the summer and 2) pay the $20 ticket I had gotten only an hour ago. The parking permit cost me $37 and the attendant canceled the ticket since I was buying a permit and had just gotten the ticket prior to coming into the office. That made my day.
• I headed to Wal-Mart to pick up some toilet paper thinking that’s the only thing I needed/wanted and planned to get, so I didn’t get a cart. Only after I picked up the toilet paper did I think of other things I needed/wanted to get like milk and cookies, haha. Of course, I didn’t feel like taking the time to get a cart so I got the TP and left.
• I’m home now and it’s storming like mad outside. I’m waiting for my power to shut off because the lights keep flickering but hopefully everything will be safe. I’ll probably play some Sims 3, which I bought the other day, and wish I had more money to buy some new shoes like Dansko (I seriously have always wanted a pair). I work tonight from 5:15-8:45.

Exciting day for me already and it’s only 12:30pm. Hopefully, the rain will stop soon. Oh and by the way, I realize that the sidebar on this theme is out of date (thanks Jenn ) and I don’t plan on fixing it any time soon since I’ve been working on a new theme off and on for awhile now, this is just temporary! And I have a lot of work to do this week so just bare with me, I need to replace the money I spent on things I needed back into my laptop fund.
