I’ve known about Craigslist for a long time now and would check it occasionally for random things but it never was a habit. Now, I check it almost daily and picked up the habit of doing so after seeing my co-worker checking craigslist constantly on the computer at work. I generally browse through the apartment ads posted on the site every couple of hours since I’m searching for a new place to move too and many people post ads for properties on the site. So far, I’ve found a few that I’ve been interested in, one of which is a 1br duplex on the other side of town that I hope to see over the weekend. The owner says it’s a small unit but has a working fire place, central heat and air, private parking and is in a quiet neighborhood. I’m hoping that it’ll look decent inside and out and that I’ll be happy with it to move into.
I also check the furniture section of craigslist occasssionally but haven’t come up with anything that I just had to have. A lot of people, I feel, sell random crap that isn’t worth the price they want for it or they try to rip people off by selling things like discount recliners or mattresses that are in bad shape. Craigslist is nice but you definitely have to watch out for the bad sellers.
