I lived across the street from the "de facto" university frat house. The apartment was wonderful (cheap rent, great location) except for that one little detail... MANY nights I would listen to them playing music, competing to discover who had the loudest car horn, and so on. Plus there were plenty of police sirens thrown into the mix... since they would often drink and drive, or sample a variety of substances of varying levels of legality. Unfortunately, their house had a different owner than mine, so there was not a whole lot that he could do about it. Good luck with the job! Surely they will be flexible about it... since you are a student, and they want to hire a student! How picky can they get?
