My favorite recipe: Swedish Meatballs.

I wasn’t into cooking when I lived with my mom and even after living on my own for two months, I still haven’t gotten into much. I like it more than I did before because well…if I don’t cook, I don’t eat and I can only stand unhealthy microwave dinners for so long. One of the things I enjoyed making before I moved out though was a recipe I found in a Rachael Ray book my grand mother got me for Swedish meatballs. It’s quick, easy and tasty and I’ve made it about three times since I’ve moved into my apartment.

I’m not a big fan of Rachael Ray, in fact she annoys the crap out of me – her little country voice and her saying EVOO repeatedly on her show – but she does have some pretty good recipes in her books that are very easy to make which is exactly what I need. I want to learn how to cook a wide variety of things and I know that over time I’ll get better and expand more which is one of the reasons why I asked my other grand mother (my dad’s mom) to buy me another recipe book and she ended up sending a Rachael Ray one, so now I have too. I haven’t had the chance to look through the new book and find any tasty recipes to try out but I’m sure there’s gotta be one in there!

For now though, I’ll stick to the Swedish meatballs recipe in Rachael Rays 30-Minute Get Real Meals book; I’ll have to write out the recipe later when I feel like listing the ingredients and directions, haha…maybe I should start a recipe section? Hmm…that sounds like a good idea!
