Oh those pains, the baby pains.

The best kind of mom marketing scheme out there is to place a baby in your boyfriends’ or husbands’ hands and watch them melt like putty. This happened when Alan was here last month and he got to hold Zoey - my cousins’ 2 month old baby - for a few minutes. Okay, so maybe he didn’t melt like putty but it gave me a glimpse into how gentle he is with young children, and babies. Of course, that didn’t help me any because my uterus immediately started with it’s “I want babies now” antics when it KNOWS it has to wait!

Having a family of my own is something I’ve always wanted, and something I know I’ll pursue when the timing is right, however, as the years pass and I get older I realize it’s something I want more and more. By the same token, I am smart enough to wait and not put myself in a position that I am not ready for. I want to be able to provide the best for my children and not have to depend on everyone else to take care of them. It’s definitely a chapter of my life I look forward to most, aside from getting engaged and married, and it’s something I can’t wait to experience with Alan; for now…I’ll just play with my younger cousins, Zachary and Zoey, and pass them off to mom and dad when they start to get out of hand :)
