Been kind of slow…
It’s been kind of slow around here lately with this being my last full week of classes and trying to make sure I finish up any loose ends as far as assignments go with my classes - mainly my online classes. I start exams on the 4th with my probability & statistics class and then have my astronomy on the 5th. My online classes aren’t anything I need to worry about since the exams are just ordinary multiple choice test like we’ve had all semester, but I do have a paper I have to turn in for my marriage and family class on the 10th for that exam. Either way, I haven’t really been spending too much time around the interweb except to check the sites I visit daily and maybe catch up on some Lavish reading.
My mom went to the doctors the other day to get her feet checked; the doctor rolled in a healthcare cart carrying an ultrasound machine and did an ultrasound on her feet, apparently this allowed him to check for inflammation and stuff like that. She went to the doctor over the summer which they did x-rays and found out she had heel spurs in both feet and gave her shots for them, I guess the shots are just now running out. She was given medication to take for the inflammation and given shots again, worse comes to worse she’ll have to have surgery on her feet to get rid of the spurs so she doesn’t have any more pain or trouble walking.
As much as I’m glad that Christmas is on the way, it really bums me out too. I guess this is the time of year when everyone realizes how much money they DON’T have and yet try to still buy gifts for people with the money they really don’t have. I want to get Alan stuff for Christmas, obviously, but I just don’t know if I’ll be able too considering every thing he wants is fairly pricey. Work gave me 11.5 (3 days) of work this week - Mon, Tues, Wed - which is better than nothing but still not enough for me to be able to buy presents even for my family…especially since we get paid every 2 weeks. It just sucks and it doesn’t help when I have a boyfriend, who yes has a very good job and can do whatever he wants with his money, is out buying a brand new MacBook and I can’t even afford to buy him a Christmas gift

I don’t need no stinkin’ gifts. I just need some wonderful warm cuddles and hugs from my absolutely amazing woman to make me feel loved and wanted this christmas

My mom had the same thing that your mom has, heel spurs. At least I think that’s what they were. She ended up having to have surgery, but it was really quick and easy. But I hope it doesn’t come to that for your mom!
I feel you on the Christmas thing too. I don’t even have a job due to school while my boyfriend works 40+ hours a week. So I know what you mean about not having any money for a Christmas present.

Don’t worry about the presents. Don’t need to buy expensive things, buy something cheap that he will like and explain him that you don’t have enough money. He should understand it.
