Training on Monday.

I was informed by my cousin, who also works at Old Navy, that I am scheduled to come in on Monday from 6pm-9:30pm for training. I was about ready to throw my arms up in the air when I hadn’t received a phone call this week about when I would come in for my first shift and actually TRAIN - I know, I know, I should have called right…but why the hell is it my responsibility to call when the manager told me she would to let me know when I’d be working/training? If it wasn’t for my cousin who happens to work at the same store, I probably wouldn’t have gotten my schedule - yes, I would have called over the weekend had I not heard anything and I still expect them to call since it’s the professional thing to do but at least I know exactly when I will be training now. I’m excited, but not as excited as I was a few weeks ago mainly because of the fact that it seems like people just don’t give a shit; if you need someone to come in train, you need to inform them of the time and place don’t expect them to find out because well that isn’t part of their job that is your job as the manager, ugh…but hey, it’s a job, it’s money and it beats working at the tanning salon where people come to tan after riding horses decked out in complete equestrian riding apparel - I kid you not that some young girl came into the salon while I was there for my interview awhile back wearing her riding gear, I was like wow…go ride some horses and stop by to tan on the way home, lol!

I’m glad you have a day to start your training. I’m going to start looking for work in the new year. I really want to get back out there and start making some money again.
