WTB Sleep!
It’s 2:30am and I’m still awake - I’m dead tired and yet I’m KEEPING myself awake…why oh why? I do not know. I bet it’s because I keep running through my head all the things I need to do today, like pack and stuff! I can’t believe I’ll be with Alan TOMORROWÂ :heart:Â I’m going to bust with happiness and excitement
I hope I can find a small rolling suitcase or duffel bag at Walmart tomorrow - I don’t want to be carrying around the damn suitcase we have that has no wheels, those things get heavy after putting all your stuff in it and from the map of the Detroit Airport it’s freaking HUGE. Depending on what gate I arrive at will depend on how far I have to go to get to the luggage claim area but then I have to haul the damn thing to ground transportation to catch a taxi to the hotel, poo for Alan having to work when I fly in
But it’s okay I get him all weekend to MYSELF and I get too meet his mommy
I know I’m going to hardly sleep tonight because I’ll be anticipating tomorrow, I look bad enough as it is with dark circles under my eyes, haha.
On a side note, I think my lab teacher for my astronomy lab was drunk today…he’s a really old guy, has been in some wars, has had cancer and apparently is going through chemo and takes a lot of pain killers. Well yesterday, he was just off the wall, talk about sex and all kinds of weird stuff and just “acting” like someone who’s had a few drinks but could still manage. When he was teaching us our lab assignment which was on the computers, he would come to each group and explain what was going on in the program we were using. He came to the group I was in and I smelled the alcohol on his breathe - one of the guys in my class was like “is it just me or does he smell like alcohol?” I told him no it wasn’t just him because I thought the exact same thing…I don’t know but eh. He’s a really great teacher and really cool/funny but don’t come to class after you’ve been drinking, wth?
Sigh, I’m tired, have a headache, my eyes hurt from itching all day because fall allergies have started up and now my knee hurts. I really need to stop sitting on my leg when I sit at the computer…but it’s the most comfortable way for me to sit, ugh! I swear when I get old I’m going to end up like my grandmother who had knee surgery on BOTH knees at the same time to provide osteoarthritis relief - her knees were bad from extra weight and just being old but mainly because of weight and it had messed up the cartilage and joints. I really don’t want to have to get “fake” knees when I’m older but I suppose if it came down to it, I would - I know my grandmother has been better off since her surgery because it’s allowed her to walk better and not be in so much pain. Learn to sit up straight and not on your leg, Ashley!
