Pumpkin Patch and other stuff!
After a juicy, delicious dinner of steak, baked potatoes, salad and an awesome cream cheese apple pie on Friday night at my grand parents house, my mom asked Zachary (son of my cousin, Brendan, who will be 3 in December) if he wanted to go to the pumpkin patch tomorrow (Saturday) so that he could pick out some pumpkins - of course, he replied with a “yeah!” :) So Saturday morning, my mom, my cousin Brendan, Zachary and I headed off to the pumpkin patch so that he could find some pumpkins. It was a nice time, although standing out in the middle of nowhere on a farm with the sun directly above you at 12pm was rather hot which made it some what uncomfortable but a good time none the less. They had animals that you could feed and pet and he had a good time feeding the sheep and goats and petting the horse - well, he smacked the horse in the head a few times before my mom took his hand and showed him how to pet him correctly
Brendan picked out a huge pumpkin to keep at her house and Zachary picked out two smaller pumpkins for himself. My mom took some pictures while we were out there which are below:
Other than the pumpkin patch, this weekend was fairly uneventful. I decided to go check out the clothing store at the mall again today to see if they had gotten in any petite sizes in the jeans I wanted - I found ONE pair with the size + petite that I wanted so I got them
I also got a long sleeve shirt that I really liked…even though it’s still too hot here to wear it; my mom was like “well you’re going to Michigan this weekend and it’s cooler up there so you might need it,” not only that but they were having a discount type sale where if you spent $50+ you could get either $10 or $50 off your purchase…I ended up saving $20 which wasn’t bad. Clothes are so expensive though either way. I spent $48 for a pair of jeans and a shirt but the jeans look good on me - even the sales lady who was standing by the dressing rooms when I came out was like ‘wow those look great on you, they fit really good’ which is always a nice thing to here!
In five days, I will be in the arms of my amazing boyfriend - I can’t wait. This past week has been one of the longest and I’m sure that this coming week will drag by since I’m looking forward to the weekend so much. I’m full of excitement and anticipation - I’m not really nervous but I know that will change when I know he’s finally on his way to meet up with me at the hotel since he has to work that day, go home and shower, get his stuff, get the car from his mom, etc etc. The weekend needs to come fast before I go crazy from the built up excitement and decide to steal one of Tiger Wood’s Nike golf clubs and beat the crap out of someone (just kidding!)

Aww going to a pumpkin patch sounds so fun! I wanted so badly to do something like that, but my in-laws are like.. ultra religious and are against anything Halloween related. I tried to convince them that it’s actually a Harvest thing, and I’m half Danish and grew up celebrating Harvest and we always had pumpkins.. but eh, guess I’m living in their house, lol.
I am excited for you for seeing your boyfriend, that’s so cute! I’m gonna be so bubbly and insane when it comes near for my husband to come home.. ugh.
And the clothes thing, I completely understand.. I can’t wait to fit into cute clothes again. I can’t shop in the mall because of my height, but I am in love with Kohl’s.. only two more months until I can start concentrating on losing weight!
