Yummy for my tummy!
I’ve wanted to cook/bake all day and originally was going to do so when I came home from class this afternoon, but never got around to it and opted to just throw something into the microwave. I’m not a cook and by no means am I one of those females who loves to spend time in the kitchen baking and cooking up delicious meals…but every now and then I’ll get on a kick where I’ll want to bake and usually it’s sweet stuff. After seeing a picture of a cupcake that Ana’s husband brought her today, I decided I would bake cupcakes and I have done just that, they are actually finishing up in the oven right now :yummy:
I had to run over to good ol’ Walmart to pick up needed ingredients along with a new muffin pan since my mom has thrown
out every pan we have due to it being old and rusting. She wanted me to look for one of those silicon rubber ones (like in the picture!), you know where you can just put in your batter, cook it in the oven and when it comes out, pop out the muffins or whatever it is that you have in the pan without having to worry about liners or nonstick cooking spray; the damn thing was $10! So I opted for a regular ol’ metal muffin pan for $4. I never really paid attention to the cost of a cookware set, flatware set or baking items because I have had no need too, but after looking around for the silicon muffin thing my mom was talking about I realize how expensive even THOSE items are. I guess I should start paying more attention, after all come the end of this semester which is in December I’ll be off on my own at a different school and some time after that, living with the boyfriend…we’ll need items like that in our kitchen
