I’m so glad this week has come to end, between not feeling good on Tuesday and part of Wednesday and then stressing out trying to figure out travel plans to Michigan, I welcome the weekend with open arms!

Some thing, that is kind of off topic but not really since I haven’t even really said anything is the fact that my teacher for my Intro to Criminal Justice (online class) class has pretty much disappeared. No one knows where he’s at, no one can get a hold of him via email and he doesn’t respond to any of our discussions on the website. We had two assignments that were due this weekend according to our calendar, and what the teacher will do is post the assignment on the discussion board (IE: find me an article and post it here having to do with X subject) which we have to make a reply too…well he never posted it and so some of us were like, okay should we just go ahead and post it anyways since he has a habit of telling us we posted things in the wrong spot if they are not a direct reply to his thread or just wait to see if we hear from him? Basically, we just wanted to know where he disappeared too and if everything was okay.

Now what gets me is what I am about to tell you next and keep in mind that I go to a community college, thus I’m mixed in with not only people that are my age (early 20s) but also people who are straight out of high school as well as older adults going back for continuing education. Most of my online class is made up of people who are either married and have kids or at least married and are older. Anyways…this girl, in response to us asking WTF is going on with our teacher and what we should do about our assignments, posts the following reply on the thread:

I think you guys need to stop bitching about not being able to find things. this isnt the first class i have taken online with Mr. Ros and I have NEVER had a problem finding or understanding any assignment and neither has anyone else i have had in the online classes. Your in college not fifth grade! Put some research behind it and you will find it. I dont see how your questioning his authority and teaching ability. Im sorry but stupidity is a pet peeve of mine.

After reading that, I was fuming (just ask Alan) I was like wait, hold on a minute, you’re going to sit here and call all of us stupid and say that we’re all bitching when all we’re asking is where the teacher went and whether or not we should go ahead and post our assignment? The assignment in question was to comment on the 12 Angry Men movie we watched, but none of us knew exactly what he wanted so we all assumed he’d just want our opinion (likes/dislikes etc) and so that is what we posted. I replied back to her little comment and told her that it was very rude of her to respond the way she did, basically calling us stupid for asking a simple question of where the hell our teacher was and that if there are assignments scheduled to be due on a certain date or to be available for us to work on on a certain date then you bet your bottom dollar people are going to EXPECT it to be there; granted, things do come up and schedules are subject to change don’t get all snippy and BITCHY for people WONDERING and ASKING where the hell our teacher ran off too. He hasn’t replied in all week and thus is still MIA…..and we’re the ones bitching and being stupid? :rolleyes:
