Earlier today I was informed via a call from my cousin, Brendan, that she was pregnant…for the second time. While, this should be a happy time for her and the family in general it is not because Brendan already has a soon to be three year old (in December) son that has been passed off to my aunt and uncle (her parents) to raise. Brendan got pregnant with Zachary at age 17 with a guy named Cyrus who was then forced by his family to get married, of course they were idiots and listened which only made for a bad situation. A year later, they were in the process of getting divorced, the divorce hasn’t been finalized, however, because the family courts here are so backed up, so they’ve been waiting a year for a court date. Legally, she is still married but has no relations with Cyrus what so ever, he does just as much for Zachary as she does which is nothing. She has been involved with Dillon for a couple of months now but just a few weeks ago was going back and forth between him and his room mate and who she really wanted to be with. Everyone is concerned for her because of the lack of responsibility to Zachary and now she is bringing another child into the world.

While, I wish I could be happy for her and Dillon has having a child is a precious time, I can’t be. I can only hope and pray that this time around things are better for her with this child as opposed to how they were with her and Cyrus. Dillon has a stable job, but still is in no position to raise a child as both of them are unprepared to do so. There are many factors that play into this that if only you knew, you would understand. I guess the family will be planning a baby shower in the future and I’m thinking about getting her a baby slings for baby on the way. Being that she is only 3 weeks (due in May), we’ll have to wait awhile to find out the gender. But either way, the slings look like they would come in handy for carrying baby around whether it be at the store or even around the house. heck, I would get one for me if I was pregnant…but that’s years off from now
