When my mom and I moved into our townhouse at the of January this year, I had trouble trying to figure out how I wanted to decorate my room. I wanted something different, something that was more “adult like” I guess you could say, which meant no more stuffed animals hanging from nets attached to the walls/ceiling! Not only did that include searching for new bed sheets and the like because I had gotten a brand new bed which was a queen and not a full, I also had to search for some kind of blinds or curtains to keep the dang street light from shining it at night.

I can’t tell you how long and how hard I looked for something I liked…I just couldn’t find anything. I originally was going to get roman shades to cover my windows because I figured that would be enough to keep the light out, but everything I found in the stores was made out of fabric that wasn’t heavy enough. Finally though, after much search I found and settled on some nice teal curtains from JcPenny’s and they work perfectly; not to mention, they match a set of bed sheets I have. I have since then tried to coordinate all of my colors in my room around the teal, even my bathroom has teal in it which in my opinion is definitely ‘adult-like’ as opposed to how my room was previously
