Britney Spears Come Back.
Did you see Britney Spear’s come back performance at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA’s) tonight? She performed her newest single, Gimme More, and I must say the performance was absolutely horrid. Having not been on stage in awhile as well as not releasing an album in awhile, you can only expect that she would be rusty but by the same token, if you’re going to do a come back performance especially at a show like the VMA’s you best expect that people will want to see something spectacular. Those that know Britney Spears from the past know she is a good performer and dancer but her gig at the VMA’s tonight did her no justice at all as an experienced entertainer or as someone trying to make a come back after years of hard times with her divorce and parenting.
This was her chance to come back and bite the constant negativity in the tabloids in the ass and to show the world; “hey I still have it, I’m back bitches” but that isn’t the message I got at all from her performance tonight. She looked as if she was scared to dance like we’re all use to seeing her do and most of the performance she stood there and/or walked slowly across the stage. She seemed so out of place on the stage, and while the dancers around her are professionals they did a better job than she did and she’s had the spotlight! All I know is that if it had been me and that was my come back, I would be greatly disappointed…sure we can all give her credit for TRYING but we all know ”trying” doesn’t cut in the entertainment business and we all know that after the whirlwind of a life she’s been living the last few years, she needs something to get people off her back and this just wasn’t it. I’m interested in seeing what the critics will have to say tomorrow, I don’t expect it to be very good/nice.

That was painful on so many levels.
Britney Spears was always an entertainer, not an artist. However, she was a GOOD entertainer. She knew how to work a stage. Now, she just seems out of it, confused, and non-driven.
On top of that, I feel bad for her because I just think it was too soon. She’s going through a divorce and so many other hearings involving her children…I just wish the performance hadn’t mirrored the state of her life that’s been so reported on over the last few months.

The whole time I was watching I couldn’t help but frown… it was so boring! She looked sloppy and none of her moves sharp or anything. She just seemed like a zombie dancing… it was so awkward! I bet all the people there looking at her performance must have been like, “Is this what all the hype was about? She sucks…” they looked so bored and unimpressed! At the end you see them all clapping with a fake smile on their face….
How SAD.
She sucked. She needs to get away from L.A. She needs to go back home and recover!
