Gimme More.

I’m sure that the majority of people who follow the entertainment world religiously are sick of hearing about Britney Spears and she is a pathetic excuse for a mother; don’t get me wrong, she’s only human and has the tendency to make mistakes, but for the love of God when you’re driving in your car don’t have your baby sitting in your lap. However, in the last few days she is making headline news yet again except this time around it’s for her music, not her bad parenting skills.

When I first heard Britney’s new single, “Gimme More,” my first thoughts were that it was rather catchy and that is it. However, by the same token it is very digitalized which makes me wonder if she actually knows how to sing, she is famous for lip-syncing isn’t she? Either way, I happen to like the song…maybe you will too. Have a listen below and tell me what you think:

Digitalized? Does she know how to sing?

What are you talking about? Nobody gives Britney any credit. The reason why people think she “can’t sing” is because most of her songs use special effects to enhance the sound of the track, as is common with most pop songs (See: SexyBack). Though on “Gimme More” Britney uses a well executed echo/vocoder effect, the raw material is still there and she actually sounds amazing. Maybe you should know what you’re talking about before you go on saying “digitalized”….

How funny! I posted this today.
I agree… it’s good but of course she had to HAVE HAD a ton of help to make her sound that good. She’s not the best singer… but somehow with a fine tuning and tweaking on someone else’s part, it makes it work. Go figure. She’s lucky I guess.
I hope the whole album turns out to be just as good if not, I’m getting my money back and downloading it off the internet! bahaha
j/k.
*insert evil grin here* Or am I…….?
